Отбора на ПУ"Васил Друмев", гр. Шумен завоюва трето място във втора възрастова дивизия в турнира по баскетбол на Спешъл Олимпикс

At the end of December at the National Sports Academy - Sofia was held the Second National Basketball Tournament for children and youth with and without intellectual disabilities. The contest was part of the European Basketball weeks supported by Special Olympics and was devoted to the International Day of People with Disabilities on December 3. 

A total of nine teams from Velingrad, Shumen, Kubrat, Veliko Turnovo, Dimitrovgrad, Haskovo, Sandanski, Gotse Delchev and Pazardzhik allocated in three age groups competed for first place. 

The team of Subsidiary School "Vasil Drumev” - Shumen participated in this sport initiative accompanied by a representative of "Shining Dawn" in the face of Albena Chamova. With much success went the first day of the tournament and the Shumen boys were placed first in the individual tests for specific skills in basketball. Competitors were judged in three specific disciplines: basketball - speed dribble, shooting baskets in different locations and targeted application. The success of the boys from the Subsidiary School, Shumen placed them in a group with the strongest teams having the best basketball skills. There they won bronze medals and ranked after the teams of Veliko Turnovo and Kubrat.
